The purpose of Volunteer Services is to assist the paid staff in attaining service levels and quality that would not
otherwise be possible. Volunteers at FCHD offer this agency "extra arms" which in turn allows us to work as partners in improving the health of our community. By giving of time and talents, volunteers become
an integral part of our efforts. Volunteer skills and commitments are valued at FCHD. We emphasize that trained staff and caring volunteers together can provide the best services our organization has to offer.
Volunteers assist with such tasks as maintaining a supply of forms, brochures, and outreach materials by copying, typing, stapling,
folding,
laminating, and inventorying. They assist with mailings and promotional ideas and help answer the phones on occasion so staff can attend meetings and trainings beneficial to our work. Volunteers participate in such events as the Children's Health Fair, school immunizations, and flu clinics.
