The Fulton County Health Department contracts with The Fulton County Tuberculosis Care and Treatment Board to implement a comprehensive Tuberculosis Control Program in Fulton County. The TB Care and Treatment Board receives funding from a local TB tax levy for the implementation of these services.

The goals of the program are:

  • Establish effective lines of communication between health care providers.
  • Ensure effective surveillance and patient management systems are established for the control of Tuberculosis in Fulton County. This is done by ensuring that screening, referral, monitoring, and accurate record keeping activities are in place and working.
  • Offer training and educational opportunities about Tuberculosis to local health care providers and the citizens of Fulton County.
  • Provide financial assistance for the care and treatment of eligible TB patients.

 

 T.B. Screening services are available through the health department at no charge for all Fulton County residents. Educational materials are provided upon request.

Parents should call for an appointment for infants and children (through 5 years) at 647-1134 at ext. 254.

Adults should make an appointment for T.B. Screenings by calling 647-1134 at ext. 254.  Hours are: Monday's at the Canton Office from 8:00am - Noon. Results are read from 8:00am-Noon on Thursdays.
