The Grant Keime Trust
supports many services for citizens in Cass and Putman Townships. These services include: Chore Housekeeping, Medication Management, adult immunizations, home visits, and information and outreach. A sub-office of the Fulton County Health Department was established in 1983 to increase access to these services. Trained staff are available to assist citizens with their health care needs.
CHORE HOUSEKEEPING
Designed to help senior citizens, handicapped or temporarily disabled who need limited chore services to remain independent in their own home. Services include:
Light house keeping and laundry
Grocery shopping
Meal preparation and serving
Person care and hygiene as needed
Errands
MEDICATION MANAGEMENT A unique program of medication management is designed to
help seniors follow their doctor's prescription care plan. A registered nurse does home visits to educate seniors on the importance of taking their prescribed medications. Other activities include:
Teach the family and seniors on the importance of taking
medications and when to contact the physician.
Identify medication management needs and assist in administering prescribed medications
Monitor for adverse reactions, toxicity and side effects of medications.
Educate community groups on program benefits
Communicate with the family physician and/or pharmacist on medication regime
Advocate for financial assistance and other needed resources
Provide home aids (e.g. pillbox, drug information
