Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS 5/5-25001 et seq.)
empower The Fulton County Board of Health to be responsible for developing rules for its own guidance and for the government of the health department as may be deemed necessary to protect and improve public health. The law also requires that the board of health have the following membership: Two (2) physicians, one (1) dentist, one (1) county board member, and four (4) members from the geographical area which the department serves.
As part of that responsibility the Board of Health meets the 3rd Tuesday of most months at 7:00pm in Room 103 at the Canton Office
located at 700 East Oak, Canton IL. These meetings are open to the public and fall under 5 ILCS 120 et. al, titled The Open Meetings Act. The 2006 meeting dates are:
